I don’t know why, but the Yakuza, gangsters, the Mafia, and other similar organizations keep me busy, whenever I see something like that, I rush off to read it. The Way of the Housewife didn’t escape the same fate. I really enjoyed this manga. The characters in it are interesting, and the plot makes you if not laugh and yell at the top of your lungs, but at least smile. There wasn’t a single chapter that disappointed me. So, this manga is awesome! I started reading it a couple of years ago, someone I know recommended it. Went back to it recently. Still as funny and unexpected. Glad to see the translation is still going on. And the open-ended chapters encourage me to speculate as to how this or that turn of events might end. A great read for an evening of relaxation. I just loved it! That’s the kind of look I haven’t seen from a former yakuza before.

His pathos in the apron is beyond pathos! It’s fun to leaf through at your leisure. The humor is good in places. The characters and the absurdity of the situations pull it out.
